Hello! Welcome to my LiveJournal. :)

My name is Kat, and I'm an amateur writer, devoted anime fan, and college student. For more about me, check my profile. Thanks for stopping by! ♥

My Friending Policy

This journal is mostly public. I do lock some entries, usually just for privacy's sake, if it's about something very personal. But if you want to friend me, please, go ahead and do it! I love meeting fic readers and fellow fans, and making new friends of all kinds. ♥

If you want me to friend you back, just leave me a comment somewhere in my journal letting me know. I don't add people back automatically because I know some people prefer to just lurk, but don't be shy! I don't refuse friending requests. :) I'll get back to you as soon as possible. I occasionally disappear from LJ without warning due to coursework, so my response may be delayed, but I will definitely reply and add you asap.

I try to keep up with my f-list, but I have to warn you that my comments may be somewhat sporadic at times. Again, this is mostly due to my schedule. But I try my best! I wish I could comment on every entry, because I love my f-list. ♥

I don't do f-list cuts. If you want to be removed from my f-list for any reason, you'll have to let me know. The exception is when someone else does an f-list cut, because then I know that person would prefer that I remove them.

Well, that's it. Thanks for reading~! ♥
ouran headdesk
So... this is a catch-up post of sorts, mostly so I can post a silly comic and do a really late meme. And yes, I should be doing some research for my honors thesis at the moment, but, uh, never mind that detail. It's Saturday, after all, right? ;D

(Although my topic is about vampires in Romantic literature, and is therefore all kinds of awesome. ♥ I'm still not sure how I lucked out on that one. I even found a professor as my director who is so thrilled to have an excuse to read more vampire literature to recommend to me that she's already started doing it. XD /random.)

Anyway, I'm doing a meme that I got from Val's journal first, and then my little "This Week in My Own Personal Fandom" segment afterwards...

I got the letter M! Which stands for Muwhahahaha! And, um, other fun things. )

This Week in My Own Personal Fandom... I watch four different series and decide which is the gayest. There's really no contest. )

Also. I am getting insanely excited for this dub. In all honesty, I love Ouran so much that it's reached a very unhealthy level. And the English cast seems to be a fun-loving group of maniacs who understand just how sparkly and gay this show is. Which gives me great hope for the Outtakes bonus feature that's going to be in the first disc set. ♥

Luci Christian (Honey) is also my latest muse for Sheer Unadulterated Awesome, because she's just so darned cute. (She also did the voice of Ahiru in the English dub of Princess Tutu. And approximately a million other things.) I'm also thrilled beyond belief that the English actors for Watanuki and Doumeki are in Ouran. Funimation's version of xxxHolic was one awesome dub, at least in my humble opinion. Hikaru and Kyouya are in very capable hands. ;D

If by any chance you want to see just a little bit of the cast's silliness that I witnessed in person at AX, I definitely recommend this YouTube clip:

... It also gives you some idea of all the squealing that went on at that panel. XD I have only seen it surpassed by that crazy Twilight panel of 6,500 fangirls at Comic Con. Plus, Mike McFarland (Ranka) is wearing a wig and a dress (which you can't really see in this particular clip, but I promise it was there). And that was just awesome. ♥

If you want more silliness, just go to YouTube and search for the whole AX Ouran panel, as well as the screening at Anime Vegas. Bonus! If you check out the second one, you get to hear Todd Haberkorn do a few of Hikaru's slashy lines. Which is, of course, fabulous.

Well, that's it for tonight. Though I'll keep lurking around the Internet periodically, of course, and probably pop in at LJ from time to time. *flourishes mysterious black cape and skulks away*

UM... WHAT.

  • Sep. 30th, 2008 at 1:14 PM
what?
So things have calmed down somewhat in my classes, and I do have a silly comic to post later in the week, but FIRST...

WHY DIDN'T ANYBODY WARN ME ABOUT THIS??? D:

... Seriously. Gayest. Tenimyu. EVER. ♥

(And without any actual "gay" moments, ironically. Except maybe the glitter dust. Oh, and the flapper feathers. And... okay, never mind. Forget I said anything.)

Also, I'm doing something I swore I would never do, because I knew I would get addicted. I'm making a Prince of Tennis AMV. Just shoot me now.

In other news, hi? :D

This Week in My Own Personal Fandom...

  • Sep. 19th, 2008 at 3:46 AM
fakir/ahiru
Hi again, everyone! ♥ Some of you may know this already, but I'm making a commitment to watch more series/genres of anime so I can be a more well-rounded fan. (Or at least have half a clue as to what everyone is talking about.) As you may have noticed, I tend to latch on to certain series and not let go, so this is an attempt to make up for that. ;D

Anyway, I thought it might be semi-interesting to do an update every Friday or so, on what I have learned/been loving in anime fandom this week. At some point, this may also include book and movie fandoms, hence the ambiguity of the title "My Own Personal Fandom." It really just means whatever I'm doing this week, in terms of fandom-related activities. (So it's also a way for me to keep track of what in the heck I'm up to. :D)

Posts may include poorly-drawn comic strips, badly executed humor, brief reviews, links to shiny AMVs, fic recs, and other random things. Enjoy~. ♥

(Btw, also feel free to rec me any series you like. And AMVs. And fics. And... well, anything, really! Go ahead, intrigue me. XD)

This Week in My Own Personal Fandom... I try to introduce my friends to 'Princess Tutu.' Beware of large image. Also, an epic AMV. )

Well, that's it for this week. I'll try to do a more varied post next time. ;D I was going to do a short comic about my first Bleach fanfiction that's in progress right now, but I figured that can wait until next week. Maybe the fic will even be finished by then! ♥

Edit: Holy crud, it's late. D: Guess f-list comments will have to wait until I wake up. (I would say 'until tomorrow,' but that doesn't apply. XD)

So why is Kat still up at 4 a.m.?

I will tell you. It's because my only class on Tuesdays is a night class, so I sleep in. Also, I have irresponsible sleeping habits. But what else is new? :D

So I managed to check out my f-list today and leave some comments. I've missed you all so much. ♥

By the way, for future reference, my classes are on Monday through Wednesday. I spend the second half of my week at home, helping my mother and generally goofing off. We're trying to redo the house and clean out the garage, which hasn't really been cleaned in... well, seven years. (And even before that, when we moved from California, we weren't exactly thorough when we packed. Actually, we just shoved everything in the truck in no particular order. ... Shh. Tell no one. >.>;)

So my current task is to clean out ALL the computers we've ever owned, except the two we're still using. It's hysterically funny, because I keep finding all my old files. Like my epic Sailor Moon and Cardcaptor Sakura fanfics, written way before I ever posted fics online. They are... well... not good. XD Also, I have two words for you... SKI FREE. Anyone remember that game? Best. Game. EVER. ♥

Anyway, point being, I'm much less busy on Thursday through Saturday, so if I ever disappear for the first part of the week, just chalk it up to schoolwork. :)

... Well, I really should go to bed now. And in all honesty? The main reason I posted was so I could use this icon I just rediscovered, because it sent me into a fit of laughter. Horton Hears a Who was just so much love. ♥

To [info]xiyu: Sorry I haven't uploaded the song yet! I'll do it asap and let you know.

In all honesty, I've been putting this off for a few weeks, because I can just imagine my entire f-list going, "Who the heck is this? And why is she posting after disappearing for five months?" ^^;

Yeah, I really am sorry about that. And there are no excuses for it, honestly, except that it's been one heck of a summer. I had the time of my life, but most of the time, it meant living without the Internet. (It was like going through rehab at first, let me tell you.) I also failed to write a goodbye message before my study abroad trip started, which was a completely stupid error on my part. Anyway, I have since been re-attached to my laptop. And after a whirlwind first week back at college, I was finally settled enough to say that I'm back.

The only trouble was, I had no idea how to re-introduce myself to LJ. ^^; Finally, I figured no matter what I did, it was going to feel awkward, so I decided just to take the plunge. So here I am. ^^; Anyway...

Long time, no see, everyone! :D I've missed you guys a lot, along with the Tenipuri fandom, and everything else that is bright and shiny about LJ. ♥

In case anyone's mildly interested, here's what I was up to this summer, plus a photo or two:

What I Did This Summer... Plus photos of Europe, cosplay, and random celebrities. XD )

Well, that's about it! Oh, and I've also been spending some time recovering from the end of the PoT manga. :( I still get sad when I listen to "Dear Prince," which my sister brought back for me from HER study abroad trip in Japan. (Yeah, I know, I was totally jealous of her too, even though my trip was awesome.) Of course, the fact that I haven't been in fandom means I'm also REALLY behind on what's going on in the PoT world. And just today, I thought I should take a look at some of the new merchandise that's been released, and CRAP. I AM SO BEHIND. T_T Seriously, there goes all the money I got at my birthday party last weekend. And more, probably. Oh, well, getting Tenimyu and PoT stuff is a good cause, right? :D (Haha, okay, probably not. Oops. Oh well, I'm a fangirl. Can't be helped. XD)

So like I mentioned, I'll be working on my novel for a few hours tonight, but I'll try to check my f-list tomorrow at the very latest. In the meantime, feel free to spam me with whatever comments you want! Personal updates, "WTF WHERE YOU?!?!" comments, or whatever. I'll love you for all of it! ♥ I would especially appreciate any fandom updates, especially PoT in particular, because I feel so disconnected. :(

Seriously, I really did miss you guys. *squeeze* It's great to be back. And yes, it's for good this time. See you all around! ♥

Happy Things... And A Toilet.

  • Mar. 13th, 2008 at 2:10 AM
pajama party
There is a toilet sitting in the middle of my study room.

Yes. I just felt the need to share this with you all. Partly because it looks like some postmodern sculpture exhibit, and partly because... Well, long story made shorter: the toilet has a crack in the porcelein, which has led to an adventure of EPIC PROPORTIONS in my house, involving a damanged garage roof, multiple contracters who spend their time trying to kill each other, and having to share one bathroom among four people over Spring Break.

It's been special. :P

Anyway, since [info]nitaspitas told me to, and it's a good way to summarize some fun things that have happened in my life lately:

The Happy Meme~! With pictures. )

So, yes, that's it! And I tag, um... Anyone who hasn't done it yet! XD *cop-out* Seriously, though, I always feel weird tagging people, so just... do it if you want to. Yes. ^^;

Anyway, I'm off to read the ol' f-list and play some more Brawl. :D See you all around!

Well, as all the PoT fans on my f-list already know, the Prince of Tennis manga has come to an official end in Japan. I'm working on a meme for the occasion that I might share with everyone later, but before that, I just wanted to write a short post on my personal thoughts about the ending.

Cut for spoilers, but I hope it's not TOO long and rambling. It also mentions a few of the previous chapters, since I haven't been on LJ for a few months. :)

My thoughts on Genius 379, with my usual pic spam. )

Well, if you read it, thanks for listening! :D I'll try to do some more PoT-love posts later, to try to cheer up the sad fans on my f-list. Don't be sad, you guys! There will be lots more PoT love. This fandom isn't going to die out that easily, not if I can help it. *hugs*

In other news, I received my first spam e-mail in Japanese! Lol, I'm so proud. XD

Um... hi again? *timid*

Wow... I'm not sure how to begin this. It's been a long time coming, and I guess I just wanted to say first of all, I'm so sorry for disappearing from LJ for awhile. I really, REALLY missed talking with you guys! I didn't plan it this way at all, or I would have let you all know before I disappeared off the face of the earth. -_-;

I guess the long and short of it is that I spent these past three months doing a lot of self-examination, and dealing with I guess what you could call a minor bout of depression. It's nothing to worry about, really, but I felt like I needed to disconnect from fandom for a little while, just to get my bearings and spend some time focusing on other things. Another thing that happened is that my mom decided that we need to redo the house, so I've been pretty busy helping her with that. Anyway, I hope I didn't worry anyone! I think, all in all, I would have rather spent the time being here on LJ like usual, but it did force me to come to terms with some important things.

I guess I'll just leave it at that. It's really nothing to worry about. :) And I definitely don't plan on doing it again. I hope you guys are doing well!

I DID manage to do a few fun things while I was away, though. So here's my top five list. Feel free to comment with your own if you have the time and you don't mind! I would really love to know what's been happening with everyone while I was away. And I will be reading and commenting on all your journals from now on. I promise. ♥

Kat's Top Five Things from her Random Hiatus... )

Well, I'll see you guys around! I'm really looking forward to getting to know my new friends from the PoT meme awhile back. I'm so sorry, you guys! I promise I'm not usually this flakey and emo. I'm still not 100% sure what triggered it, to be honest. ^^;

(Speaking of PoT, about the manga lately... Actually, no, I don't want to get into that right now. XD I'll just talk about the next chapter when it comes out~.)
d2
Hello, everyone! *waves* Ugh, it's been a long time... I was swallowed up in a sea of papers and final exams for the past two weeks, but now I finally have enough time to post again. I apologize for the random disappearance. :P

A few things...

+ To my new friends from the Tenipuri friending meme: Hi! :D I'm really glad I went ahead and posted on it, even though my entry was super late. More Tenipuri friends = always ♥♥♥. I look forward to getting to know you a lot better.

+ On the PoT 40.5 fanbook: Aslkdjglkasjdglk;ajshd. BEST THING EVER. It has inspired me to write lots of fic... Not to mention made me laugh. Oh, the Sanada family rock. And the calligraphy spam. And Jirou stealing Marui's wristband. And Atobe going to school in England and drinking non-alcoholic champagne in the bath (Oh, Atobe, you girl~). And... a lot of other things, far too many to mention. TENIPURI, I LOVE YOU. And that is all I have to say about that. ♥

+ Ordered my photosets for Higamyu, which starts tomorrow (!). I am insanely jealous of anyone who gets to see the show in person. One time getting to see it live, and I'm already experiencing withdrawal. XP Anyway, good luck to all the cast members, and I look forward to seeing the DVD~! Ugh... but it doesn't come out until MARCH... *is going to die*

+ Read Genius 369. And I have to admit... I don't quite understand what was so bad about it. Anyone care to enlighten me? (Though if it's still about the amnesia thing, just on basic principle because it's a lame plot twist, then I understand completely.)

+ One more final exam to go (on Wednesday). After that, I hope to start posting all kinds of random PoT love, like a few thoughts on some translations I'm completely butchering doing of Second Service. And fic! There will be fic. Right now, I'm still working on the vampire AU, and also started a Rikkai Christmas fic, which I hope will be love. I'll try to finish them asap. ♥

Anyway, see you all around! I'm still reading your entries, and I'll start commenting again as soon as possible (i.e. after my stupid literary theory exam, if not sooner). And to my non-PoT friends: I'm truly sorry I haven't been keeping up with you guys lately. I promise I'll get back in touch over Christmas break.

And with that, I leave you all with something I just happened to notice as I was browsing through YesAsia today:

MEET MY NEW OTPs! ... Lol, just kidding. :D Or am I? Oh, RajiPuri, I wish I was better at Japanese so I could understand your crack. I mean... pineapples?
sparkle
Bleah. I still haven't managed to catch up on my f-list, but I'm doing my best to at least read all the entries I've been missing. I promise to give you all some commenting love next week, after all my papers are due. ^^;

In the meantime, a list of good things:

+ Yakiniku. Just tried it this Saturday, and it was quite delicious~. Though I couldn't stop thinking about the yakiniku contest in PoT. *lame*

+ Enchanted. Very cute movie, and extremely funny if you loved Disney movies as a kid, like I did. I definitely recommend it. ♥

+ Productivity. I'm over halfway done with a research paper that I thought was going to give me a lot of trouble, so that's good.

+ Vampire Knight. It's going to be an anime, and while my reasons for it are shallow (= pretty eyecandy that moves and talks! *_*), I'm nevertheless ecstatic. And my roommate can confirm that I was just wishing last week that it would be animated. Yes, fear my magical ESP powers of persuasion on TV executives whom I don't even know. ...Even though I'm sure it was negotiated for weeks.

+ Friends. My small group of RL anime-loving friends got together on Friday and watched the Hellsing OVAs and Hairspray (♥) and went out for Chinese food afterwards. Yay~! :D

There are a few bad things, too, but I'm choosing not to dwell on them for now. :) Where is my Second Service DVD, !@#$ it?! Oh, and thanks to everyone who voted on the poll on my previous entry! It was fun seeing the results. And as your reward (which is several days late from when I planned to post it, for which I apologize):

Check out the preview for my vampire AU fic!

Enjoy! :D How is it that three things in this post related to vampires? >.> I swear I'm not that obsessed; it's just a recent trend in my life, apparently. *titles post accordingly*

Yay for the blood-sucking undead!

So I've been working on the vampire AU fic for PoT, as promised. :D I'm taking it slow with editing, mostly for two reasons (one: I want it to be as good as possible, and two: I'm having my roommate review it, because she knows a lot about vampires). And I'm writing it in between working on my major end-of-semester projects.

Still, I'm done with a draft of the first chapter, so I'm excited. So far, it's fun to write. ♥ I was also excited to see this secret yesterday at [info]fandomsecrets, because it was begging for more Tango Pair fanfiction. Needless to say, I intend to oblige them. :D (Advance warning: Tango Pair is the main pairing, but there will be a million other pairings in this fic, including but not limited to SanaYuki and TezuAto, ironically enough. But maybe then everyone can enjoy it? XD) I'm planning on posting a preview of the fic in my fanfiction journal over Thanksgiving break, for anyone who's curious.

Meanwhile, I've been listening obsessively to the Rikkaimyu Second Service CD, and I can't wait for the DVD to come out next week~! ♥ Oh, and I went to the opera on Friday, and then I saw my old high school's annual musical (it was "Bye Bye Birdie" this year) on Saturday. So my life has been much more entertaining lately.

I hope all of you are doing well. ♥ I'll do my best to comment more on all of your entries this week, but I apologize in advance if I get wrapped up in schoolwork. ^^;

After experiencing two rather annoying weeks of Real Life that I really could have done without (don't ask; college problems and almost-scary emergencies), I have returned to LJ to declare the following...

I ♥ RIKKAIMYU SECOND SERVICE.

Yes, I JUST found the CD, and yes, I still love it just as much as I loved watching the show in person. I'll probably flail extensively over the DVD when it arrives, but for now, I just wanted to say...

Rikkai, I love you. Seigaku, I love you. Higa... I love you, and that frightens me. :O

Seriously, it's just as intense and awesome as I remember it, and I am even more excited by the fact that the dancing will make it that much better. It's not FuuRinKaZan without the hip thrusts and crazy dance moves. Oh, DVD, where art thou? And I knew I wasn't delusional. Aiba IS awesome. As is... well, everything. Yes, I'm a sucker, but I seriously wanted to cry listening to the CD. It brought back so many memories, but it also just reminded me how much I LOVE this fandom and PoT in general, and how it can make even a lame day into a great one. ♥

Anyway, talk to me, f-list! Tell me what you think of the CD (since I missed most of the flailing over it), or just tell me what's been happening in your life the past few weeks, since I haven't been able to keep up with all your entries.

Please? I know it's pathetic, but I need some friendly conversation to distract me from my present life of lame, petty, never-ending to-do lists. ;_;

(Also, this is kind of lame, but [info]0rien, I was so happy to see you back on my f-list! ;_; This IS a good day. ♥)
not love
I'm exhausted and I really should be in bed, but since I haven't posted in forever, I feel like writing a quick entry anyway. So this shall be in bullet points, because they are a lazy writer's friend. ;)

- I won $500 today! *dances* There was this contest in my university English department where they were giving out a $500 prize for each of three categories: poetry, creative fiction, and literary essays. So on a whim, I submitted one of my old papers for the literary essay category and won. Clearly, I'm in the right major. ♥

- I will be getting said $500 at a costume ball on Friday, where all of us English nerds are dressing up as literary characters. I will be going as the Lady of Shallot (I have a long blonde wig and everything!), and I'm supposed to read part of my essay, which just happens to be about women in King Arthur legends. No, I actually didn't plan this in advance, believe it or not! It's just easiest for me to dress up in medieval clothes because my mom keeps the entire Shakespeare costume collection for my old high school's drama program IN OUR LIVING ROOM. Don't ask why. Anyway, I am clearly the biggest dork in the history of ever.

- I actually am writing fic again. Yes, I started the crazy PoT vampire story (the one where Sanada's a vampire hunter and Atobe's the lord of a vampire-infested castle). Yes, I am properly ashamed. I can't help it. It's October, it's a full moon, I was getting into the atmosphere. I'll try not to make it too much like every other vampire AU, at least. I'll probably fail miserably, but I'll try. Either way, at least I'm finally writing fic again.

- I have new icons from a few older/alternate anime fandoms of mine. With any luck, all you shounen fans can forgive me my shoujo roots. And my new default icon = my Fruits Basket OTP. ♥ 1,000 awesome points to anyone who can identify it.

So. Yes. That is all. I hope you all are doing well. I'm keeping up on all your entries, for the most part, but I haven't had as much time to comment as I would like. But I always read them! Much love to everyone. ♥

I don't know if anyone else was thinking of doing this, but since Tezuka has always been my favorite PoT character, I thought I would spam you all with a love post for him. Non-fans, feel free to ignore this post, and please accept my sincere apologies for clogging your f-list.

Click here for lots of pic spam, favorite moments, top Tezuka pairings, pretty songs, and all the other things that I love about Seigaku's buchou. )

Well, that's it! I hope you enjoyed it. Feel free to contribute to this post in any way you want, by commenting on your own reasons for loving Tezuka, sharing any kind of pic spam from official images to fan art, reccing Tezuka-related fics, writing drabbles, or anything else you can think of. It's Tezuka's birthday, after all, so why not? And link to this post in your journal, if you want. Spread the buchou love! :D

EDIT/ To my f-list: The Tezuka fic I promised is still coming. ^^; It'll just have to be a belated birthday fic, I guess, since schoolwork kind of pounced on me without warning.

So as most of you already know and have mentioned, the 4th generation Tenimyu cast has been announced.

To be honest, I'm not the type who has much of a preference from cast to cast. I like all the Tenimyu actors for different reasons. So personally, I'm excited, and I love them already. ♥ ♥ ♥

Of course, like most people, I can't say who my favorites are until I actually see them perform. But I will say this... Inui = SMOKIN' HOT. *__* I approve. I approve very much. ♥ It's cute that both Kaidou and Momo are D-BOYS. And the new Ryoma... He's so young! :O He's only fourteen! Gosh, I'm starting to feel like such a pedophile for being a Tenimyu fangirl. D:

The only thing that actually threw me off a little is that the new Fuji is taller than most of the cast. O_o It doesn't bother me, per se, but I do admit it will take some getting used to. (He's still shorter than the new cute Taka, though, and that's all that really matters for the Higa matches, since they play doubles together in that arc.)

As usual, though, it seems most people don't like the new Tezuka or the new Fuji. >_> Why is that always the case? It must be Shirotan's fault for existing. No one can beat him at singing, so all future Tezukas are just screwed. And of course, most GP fans are still stuck on Takki and Seto, which I can understand. But seriously, what's wrong with the new Tez? I think he looks somewhat Shirota-ish in his actor profile, even, and I bet he'll look good as a megane: [link]

And I'm so excited about the casting for Higa! ♥ Of course, Kite and Chinen are already awesome (yes, I know this for a fact; you'll all believe me in November), and the casting for the new roles looks perfect too. I'm actually very excited about this myu, which is odd, because I never used to enjoy the Higa arc. But now I get to see Luke C. and this new Tez duke it out, and it's going to be hot if nothing else, so I approve. ;D

Anyway, there's my overly enthusiastic take on the new cast. You may all laugh at me for my optimism if you like. :D Either way, I know we'll all be waiting until the actual myu to see how they do, which makes sense. You can't tell if an actor is good in their role until they get a chance to perform it. (I don't know if most people remember, but I can recall some of the angst when 3rd cast came out, and most people ended up liking them. So it's all good. ♥)

Besides, there's always Rikkai! *squeals* ♥

EDIT/ Btw, I know I haven't been commenting for the past few days. D: I'm so sorry! I'll try to catch up by Tezzie's birthday. With any luck, I'll even have fic for you all. ♥

RoboZuka 02 Scans

Lol, I had to laugh at the PoT secret over at [info]fandomsecrets today. Fear Mummy!Inui. XD It's always interesting to see where people's breaking point is, as far as PoT crack is concerned.

Anyway, this very random post is to provide preview scans of the latest addition to my PoT doujinshi collection, RoboZuka 02, i.e. Another Heaping Helping of Kaneshiki Swiss Crack. :D

Enjoy! ♥

In which Tezuka is clumsy, Atobe gets blasted with lasers, and the seme and uke versions of Yukimura face off. Guess who wins? (Hint: Not Sanada.) )

Lol, Renji's so evil. XD Anyway, I hope it amused you all. Sadly, I must be off to do homework now. *scurries away*
pwned
I just did the most crazy victory dance all around my room (which thankfully no one saw), all because of this.

Never mind that I'm still not over 3rd cast leaving. Never mind that I'm sad I don't get to see Seto and Takki pull off more Golden Pair goodness in the Higa match. Never mind that right now the only thing I really want is for the Second Service DVD to COME OUT ALREADY so the world can flail with me over it.

The only thing that truly matters is...

RIKKAI IS GOING TO BE IN HIGAMYU!

I had a feeling it would happen, but this means that for sure there will be more shiny photosets! And maybe some crazy, pointless songs that have nothing to do with the main storyline! And I probably get my Troika-rants-about-Tezuka moment! And... Okay, the only other thing I can think of is that Luke C. (Kite's myu actor) is really hot, and I'm actually looking forward to seeing the rest of Higa in all of their scary, purple glory. But I realize that has nothing to do with my first point.

Still. Rikkai. *is so happy*

In other, slightly less sparkly news... )

Now I'm off to spend my time relaxing, making a new desktop wallpaper, and checking the Tenimyu site obsessively. (Have any myu fans been keeping an eye on the diary entries? Some of those photos have threatened to kill me from sheer cuteness. ♥)

Amid sleepless delirium and keysmashing...

troika shiny
I don't normally post two days in a row on LJ, just because I don't have the time, but I simply have to post again today, because... *drumroll*

All the fic writers have been revealed over at [info]rikkai_exchange!

I made a few guesses last night, and much to my surprise, they were all correct. ♥ I picked the few that were pretty distinctive, though, so it's not like I went out on a limb or anything. Oh, and I realized that I probably should have recognized [info]0rien's piece as well... I knew there was something familiar about it that I couldn't quite place. (Did I comment on that one yet? I don't remember. If I didn't, I will! I'll be going back and rereading all the ones I didn't comment on. *promises*)

I recognized [info]lady_of_water's, though. ;D It was just too crazy and awesome to NOT be her. And the Shakespeare reference has convinced me we're kindred spirits. ♥ (Or maybe future spouses. Marry me, dear? :D Though you proposed to so many other writers during this exchange, I probably don't have a chance! D:)

Anyway, I can now reveal that I wrote the following fics for the exchange:

Not One Stroke
Sublimation for [info]yuki_scorpio

I was pretty sure that no one would be able to guess that both of these were mine. :D They're VERY different from each other. (Also, most people in the exchange don't know me, so I was pretty safe to begin with. XD)

The first one is a slightly bizarre Niou/Sanada fic (with sex, no less! from me! *gasp* :O!) and the second one is sort of a fluffy, vague, overly descriptive Troika fic. (The second one was also a pinch-hit, and kind of terrifying, because it was written for [info]yuki_scorpio, who is an amazing writer, and because it was forty pages written over the course of a couple days, when I was incredibly sleep-deprived. XD Scary stuff, that.) Anyway, if anyone out there wants to read them, please help yourself and enjoy. ♥

Oh, and my fic was written by [info]hitokiri, which I should have known! *headdesk* I knew the writing style was familiar. And I've even read one of her lovely future fics before (just happened to stumble on it when I was checking out an old exchange comm). In any case, it's awesome, and she's wonderful. Go read it, all of you~.
